Clay Smithis the head coach and manager of the Texas Select Organization. Clay is a former Pitcher for the Texas Rangers Organization from 1977-1979. Today along with his one on one instructional sessions, he heads up two successful teams. Clay grew up in a suburb east of Dallas called Pleasant Grove, where he went to WW Samuel HS and lettered all three years. He received a full baseball scholarship to LA Tech University and went on to play for the Texas Rangers Organization. Clay has been coaching and providing instruction to kids of all ages for over 35 years in the DFW area with proven success.

Coach Dalton Smith Dalton is in his third season as assistant coach for the University of Texas @ Tyler, the 2018 National Champions. He is working with the outfielders while working on his Masters Degree in Sports Mgt. Dalton ended his baseball career in the 2017 season by helping the Patriots win back to back American Southwest Conference Championships. Dalton also played baseball two years as a starter on the Eastfield Jr College team during 2014/2015 in which he helped the team to win two conference championships and go deep into the playoffs both seasons. He attended and played Varsity baseball for Dallas Christian School 2012/2013 where he was awarded, 2nd Team All State, 1st Team All District Pitcher and the Newcomer of the year awards. Dalton has been an assistant coach for the Texas Select Baseball Club for over 6 years and enjoys teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball and helping them move on to the next level!
